Lindy Hop Class Information

ΑRH offers 4 different levels of Lindy Hop classes from Intermediate to Pro level. 

For each level, you will have 6 hours of Lindy Hop classes, plus theme classes, cultural talk & outdoor activities.  The classes will take place from Friday noon to Sunday afternoon. The schedule will be announced soon.

Please choose your level according to the description below.

Intermediate

You have been dancing for at least 1 year and you regularly attend lessons and social dance. You feel confident with the main 6 and 8 count figures (Swing Out, Inside Turn / Outside Turn, Circle, Tuck Turn, Texas Tommy, Charleston basic, Tandem, Hand to Hand) which you know how to lead / follow.

Intermediate / Advanced

You have been dancing for at least 2 years and you regularly attend lessons and social dance. You know the basic figures of Lindy Hop and some variations. You are starting to improvise following the change of music and you can easily handle medium-fast tempo.

Advanced

You have been dancing for more than 3 years and you regularly attend lessons, social dance and international workshops. You can handle any tempo (slow, fast and very fast). You improvise following the change of music.

Advanced+

You have been dancing for at least 4 years and you regularly attend lessons, social dance and international workshops. You are comfortable with leading / following (even to very fast tempos) and you can effortlessly improvise rhythmically.

Pro

This year, we offer a level for professional Lindy Hop dancers. At this level, dancers will be required to dance to fast tempo up to 230 bpm, feel comfortable with rhythm improvisation, solo dancing and basic tap steps.

This is an invitational level. If you want to join this level, upon registration, you will need to write a small text about yourself that explains why you belong there.

To register as a couple, please fill in your partner's name and email.

*Each one of the dancing couple needs to submit a separate application. **In the event you want to register as a couple, you need to include your partner's name when submitting the form. Please note that once your application has been accepted, you will not be able to alter your choice.

Authentic Jazz Class Information

Authentic Jazz Open Level

You know the basic jazz steps, Shim Sham and maybe Tranky Doo and Big Apple. You can improvise to jazz music.

Authentic Jazz Experienced Level

You know the basic jazz steps (and some variations) and the original routines (Shim Sham, Tranky Doo, Big Apple). You dance on a weekly basis and you can easily improvise to jazz music creating your own rhythms and variations.

In case we are unable to accept your Full Pass application (due to limited availability, are you interested in purchasing a Party Pass or a Lindy Hop Full Pass?

Master Classes

The cost for each Master class is 25 euros (Early Bird) - 30 euros (Late Bird). Early Bird prices are valid until Sunday 26/2.

**Please note that the time of Master Classes is indicative and might change when the final Schedule is announced.

Additional Info

Walk the city of Athens like a local! We will have a tour of the city led by our local community on Thursday afternoon. Please let us know, if you are interested to join.
